How to Embed Instagram Videos and Photos in Website

Instagram, the hugely popular photo sharing social network recently added support for video. Now you can shoot short video clip up to 15 second and share it will friends. There are total 13 filters available to give the video a retro look. Just like photos, videos are recorded in square aspect ratio (612×612 px resolution). Instagram videos can be shared on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites but there is no support of video embedding in web pages. On the other hand Vine, which was known as Instagram for videos until now, lets you embed videos. But that doesn’t stop us from embedding Instagram videos on blogs and websites. There are several unofficial ways to embed Instagram videos. In this article I’m going to show you how to embed Instagram videos and photos easily on any website or blog.

Steps to Embed Instagram videos and photos:

1. Embed Instagram is a new web tool developed by Amit Agarwal of well known Digital Inspiration blog. It lets you generate embed code of any Instagram photos and videos. First sign into your Instagram account and navigate to the photo or video which you want to embed. Now copy the direct link and paste it into the Embed Instagram tool. Now hit the ‘Generate Embed Code’. You will get the code which can be used in any blog or website to embed Instagram videos and photos. Photo or video description along with hash tags will appear below the photo or video. Here is one sample Instagram photo:

2. There is another web tool same name called Embed Instagram which works in a similar way. Copy and paste the link of Instagram video or image into this site and click on ‘Generate Embed Code’ to receive the code. Additionally you can select embed type (Photo or Video), embed size and format according to your requirements.

P.S: Keep in mind that Instagram videos and photos may be subject to copyright. You should take permission from owner before embedding any photos or video.
