BuyHatke.com a Dynamic Price Comparison and Product Discovery Site
India remains always the center of attention for merchants and nowadays we’re observing a massive crowd of online portals. With over 450+ online shopping portals, online-shopping trend in India is at its peak. Talking about consumers, they spent a significant amount of time just for deciding the best deal around them. So what about a shopping search engine that can fetch all the best available deals just on a command of a simple search query? Final year students of IIT-Khargapur has weaved this idea into India’s first and currently the only “dynamic” shopping search engine- BuyHatke.com. Now you don’t have to stalk various website just for shortlisting a best deal, BuyHatke.com is almost there to do it for you in a matter of seconds.
We dig deep a lot before writing this review and we actually found that the site is pretty useful and a bit addictive too. You can obviously search without registration but we’ll suggest you to register yourself to get the best out of BuyHatke.com. Registering is fairly easy and perhaps a usual Facebook authentication will do it for you in few seconds. On registering, you’ll have a wish list where you can push your favorite products with a single click. This will surely help you in remembering the products later on. Apart from this, site shows the social recommendations for popular and latest stuff partitioned according to different categories on their homepage.

• Provides real-time results with lot of magnificent details.
• Social recommendations for popular and latest stuff.
• One click registration using Facebook.

The search mechanism is undoubtedly effective and provides real-time results with lot of magnificent details like price and retailer name. Clicking any of the result will directly takes you to you can even narrow search results according to your budget with the help of embedded interactive price slider. The wish-list button is also embedded in the product column which you can use to add any product in the search result directly into your wish list.
Overall, the idea is awesome and almost capable of doing for what it is claiming to do. However, the website design is average and doesn’t seem so appealing to us at first look. Beside this the homepage seems little bulky, stuffy and a bit over designed too. The site does look black and white type rather than a colourful cheerful website. It does provide the real-time results but lacks few options like sorting the search results, availability of the product, etc. But since the website has just made its entry, we’re expecting that these little issues will be readdressed shortly.
