Measure Your Computer’s Performance using Geekbench
Do you want to get an idea about your brand new computer’s performance? Or you want to compare your computer with your friend’s computer and find out who’s better? Benchmarking is the way to measure a computer’s performance. There are so many benchmarking softwares available but the results of the benchmarks are not that easy to understand.
Geekbench is one of the most easiest benchmark software. Though the name is Geekbench you don’t need to be a geek to understand and compare benchmark results. Geekbench is a cross platform benchmarking software, it runs on almost all platforms like Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.
First visit the Primate Labs website and download Geekbech and install it on your computer. The 32bit version of Geekbench is free to use but to use 64bit mode you have to purchase a license. Click on ‘Run Benchmark’ button to start benchmarking the computer. After running several tests it will rate your computer according to the performance of Processor, RAM etc.
My laptop gets around 5000 score in Geekbench 2.3.4. I think it is quite good for a laptop. You will get a better rating if you have Intel i7 processor or AMD Quad-core or Six core processor. Additionally if you create a Geekbench account then you can save your benchmark result and compare your score with other users from around the globe.
