Galaxy Tab 750 is basically international Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G version with 16GB built in memory. It is powered by speedy 1Ghz Dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and 1GB RAM.

Hardware and Design :

Galaxy Tab 750 looks very attractive and sexy. At  256.7×175.3×8.6mm  measurement Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 is world’s lightest and thinnest 10 inch tablet pc. 8.6 mm thickness makes this 0.2 mm thinner than Apple iPad 2. Handling the Tab for longer time is easy thanks to 565gm weight. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is mostly build up with plastic, there is only metal in the sides of the Tab. It does not have the metallic feeling of iPad but use of plastic made it 35gm lighter than iPad 2. Overall the build quality is very good.

There are no hardware buttons at the front, only 2 mega pixel front camera and light sensor are present. Screen is protected from accidental scratches by Gorilla glass. There are two speakers at the both side of the Tab for surround sound effect.

At the top there are two buttons- power key and volume up & down key. SIM card slot is present at the top along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Galaxy Tab uses standard SIM card not micro SIM which is used in iPad 2.

There is a 30 pin connector at the bottom side of the tab, which is used for charging, PC connectivity, attaching accessories etc. It supports USB host mode using a adapter which comes within the package. We can directly connect may USB devices like USB flash drive, memory card reader, external hard disk drive, keyboard, mouse etc. with the help of adapter.

A 3.2 Megapixel auto focus camera is present the rear side of the Tab. For low light photography single LED flash is there.

Display:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has wide-screen PLS LCD screen with 1280×800 resolution. The screen size is 10.1 inch so the pixel density PPI( Pixels Per Inch) is 149. The screen is bright, clear, sharp and colors looks vivid.

Viewing angle is great and we didn’t face and problem using it under direct sunlight. Watching videos and photos on Galaxy Tab will be a pleasing experience. The screen uses capacitive touch screen technology, so it is very touch sensitive. Multitouch gestures works without any problem in gallery, browser, games etc.

Performance and Benchmark:

Review will be incomplete without synthetic benchmarks so we run many popular benchmarks. Samsung Galaxy Tab has 1GHz Nividia Tegra 2 processor coupled with 1GB RAM so good benchmark score is expected.

In Quadrant it gets around 2300 points which is a good score for a tablet.

In AnTuTu benchmark it gets around 4700 points which is very similar to Motorola Xoom.

Galaxy Tab performs Pi calculations in around 540 sec in BenchmarkPi.

Samsung Galaxy Tab scored impressive 83,000 points in BrowserMark benchmark.

Audio:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has two stereo speakers in both sides for surround sound. Watching movies or listening music is great experience. Sound quality from the bundled headphone is great. If you are music lover then I’m sure you will not be disappointed. The music player has equalizer settings and virtual 5.1 channel surround sound options to further enhance music listening experience.

Video Player:

The deafult video player can play both 720p and 1080p HD videos without any problem. HD videos looks awesome on the gorgeous screen. Galaxy Tab 750  played most of the videos which we tried. It can play DivX/XviD videos upto FullHD resolution without any problem. Unfortunately there is no support for MKV video format. But this problem can be solved by using some 3rd party video players like Dice Player. Galaxy Tab 750 can be a great portable video player as it can play video upto 9 hours on single charge.

User Interface:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system with Samsung Touch Wiz UX. The user interface looks attractive and easy to use. Touch Wiz UX brings some enhancements to the stock Honeycomb experience. There are live panels, social hub, Media Hub etc. The user interface is fast but it started lagging when we activated the live wallpapers. But over all the experience is good.

Camera:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 has two cameras one 3.2 Megapixel auto focus camera the rear and 2 Mega Pixel fixed focus camera at front for video calling. Camera interface is easy to use and has plenty of settings to tweak photos. Galaxy Tab 750 can record 720p HD videos at smooth 30fps with good details and sound.

Quality the still images are also good when you have enough light. Some noise can be seen in low light photos. Single LED flash helps to take better photos in low night.

Video calling is possible on Google Talk and Skype using the front camera. Video calling quality is good when you have fast internet connection. During video call we can easily switch between front and rear camera.

Internet and Connectivity:

Internet browsing experience in Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 is great. This tablet provides full desktop like browsing experience with full Adobe Flash support. Websites loaded fast and the browser rendered all the pages correctly. YouTube videos can be played in the browser without any problem. Galaxy Tab 750 can also play HD YouTube videos smoothly. There is a dedicated YouTube application in the Tab.

Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with 3G HSPA+ 21mbps and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity for easy and fast internet connection. It also has latest Bluetooth 3.0 for faster local connectivity and file transfer.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 is a great Tablet and better than most of the Android Tablets currently available in the market. Samsung Galaxy Tab has better hardware and has the potential to challenge iPad, but there are some drawbacks in Galaxy Tab, like the user interface is not that fluid like the iPad and currently there are not much Honeycomb optimized apps available in the Android market.
