Aakash 2 Tablet Specifications, Release Date and Price in India
Aakash Tablet, world’s cheapest Android powered tablet became reality in the last year. But Aakash tablet could not live up to the expectations, it has been criticized by users for its poor performance. So DataWind, the manufacturer of this ultra cheap Android tablet is coming with an updated version of Aakash tablet which is called Aakash 2 tablet. The main problem of Aakash tablet was slow 366Mhz processor which is not good enough to run Android smoothly. Aakash 2 tablet coming with a faster Cortex A8 processor running at 1 GHz speed coupled with 512MB RAM . We hope this speed bump will offer better performance to the users. One other issue with Aakash tablet was the outdated Android 2.2 operating system, latest Aakash 2 will be coming with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Aakash 2 tablet has a front facing VGA camera for video calling and self portrait shot, it was missing in the original Aakash tablet.
Aakash 2 has same 7 inch LCD touch screen with 800×480 resolution but this time it has a capacitive touch screen which supports up to 4 multi-touch points. This tablet also packs a larger size battery which can provide 4 hours battery life. It has inbuilt 4GB memory and a MicroSD card slot is present for further memory extension up to 32GB. Just like older tablet, Aakash 2 has a full size USB 2.0 port for adding keyboard, USB flash drive and more devices. Unfortunately it does not have any SIM card slot for calling facility or 2G/3G internet connectivity. You have to fully rely on Wi-Fi for internet access.

Aakash 2 Price and Release date
Aakash 2 tablet will be available to Indian students for only Rs 1130 ($21). While the commercial edition of Aakash 2 tablet, known as UbiSlate 7Ci will be available at DataWind’s website for Rs 4,499 [$85]. Aakash 2 will be available from 12th Nov, 2012.
This time they are making something in which i will be interested . Microproseccor is almost double . Its good in extra 500 rs

Aakash 2 will be more useful now as it will be equipped with ICS. So, it will be a fun having latest android version on the cheapest tabs.
